The Calling

The story

Tamar, the daughter of a prominent deacon, is chosen for the ministry in her deeply religious community, but secretly struggles with her lesbian identity, which she has suppressed for 16 years. Her crisis deepens when she enrolls in a training class for future ministers and forms an immediate connection with the only other woman in the program, forcing her to confront the conflict between faith, family expectations, and living authentically.
